The OSCE Minsk Group for the settlement of the Armenian-Azerbaijani conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh requested a regime of silence in the combat zone. She calls for permission to evacuate the remains of the dead soldiers. This is stated in a statement on the OSCE website.

In a statement, the Minsk Group co-chairs once again condemned the violence in the conflict zone in Nagorno-Karabakh, and also expressed alarm at the increase in the number of civilian casualties.

"Under no circumstances should civilians be attacked or threatened. The Co-Chairs urge the parties to fully comply with their international obligations to protect civilians," the document says.

It is also stressed that the involvement of external parties in the escalation undermines efforts to achieve a peaceful settlement. The Co-Chairs call on Armenia and Azerbaijan to cease fire immediately for humanitarian purposes to repatriate the remains of dead soldiers in coordination with the OSCE and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

As we reported before, Ukraine's Interior Minister Arsen Avakov said that Ukraine will not provide military assistance to any country involved in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
