OSCE representative attacked in Kyiv, woman sustains light injuries

An unknown man assaulted a female OSCE representative in the Ukrainian capital. The incident occurred on the small hours of March 18. Strana.ua news agency reported that, referring to the source in the Internal Ministry.

The woman was heading to her hotel suite after midnight. At some point, she realized that a man followed her. He looked like a homeless person. He started asking for some money, but she refused. Then, he attacked her, punching several times, as the victim was walking the staircase. The woman assumed he tried to rob her. However, the assailant failed to do whatever he intended to; the woman screamed loudly, which repelled the attacker.

The OSCE employee turned to the police, where they began an investigation. The medics found out she sustained some light injuries. The culprit is now on the wanted list.
