89th Oscar ceremony started in Dolby theatre in Los Angeles. The ceremony was opened by Justin Timberlake with his song "Can't Stop The Feeling" from “Trolls” animated film. Over three thousand people gathered in the hall.

This was reported by AFP agency.

It is reported that 300 Swarovski crystals decorated the scene where the ceremony took place.

The main records of this year’s award are 14 nominations of the “La La Land” musical that also received eleven nominations at the 70th British Academy Film Awards.

Earlier it was reported that Syrian cinematographer who worked on Oscar nominated film was denied entry to US. Khaled Khateeb had American visa, but he was not allowed to get on the plane.
