An online agitator, who called for a change in the state border and the constitutional system of Ukraine was detained in the Odesa region. This was reported by the Security Service press center.

“The law enforcers found that the man regularly posted information on social networks calling for a change in the state border and the constitutional system of Ukraine. The attacker also popularized the LNR/DNR terrorist organizations. The agitator received texts from Russian propagandists Internet portals and websites of illegal armed formations, ” the message reads..

It is also noted that law enforcement officers found computer equipment and mobile devices with materials confirming illegal activities in the apartment of the agitator. Upon the incident, criminal proceedings were opened in accordance with Part 1 of Art. 110 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

Earlier the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has exposed a deep-rooted network of the internet agitators, which gathered the citizens of Kyiv, Odesa, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhia, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, and Chernihiv regions, as the SBU reported.

“The members of the network spread the destructive materials aiming for the artificial escalation of the public and political situation on the eve and during the holding of the presidential elections through Facebook, VKontakte and Twitter social networks as their curators ordered,” the message said.

According to the SBU, the Russian curators had over 50 groups in the social media with the audience of over 1,5 million users.

It is noted that the SBU officers processed 17 facts of the interference of the Russian special services into the elections process in the country by spread of fake information only during the first quarter of 2019.
