The Democratic Republic of Congo confirmed the death of one Ukrainian citizen at the crash of the military aircraft AN-12 in Kinshasa. Speaker of the Foreign Ministry of Ukraine Mariaina Betsia reported this at Twitter.

‘The Democratic Republic of Congo officially confirmed a death of one Ukrainian in the result of the AN-12 crash in Congo. We express the condolence to the relatives. We are considering the issue of the repatriation’, she wrote.

Previously it was informed that a military aircraft crashed in Congo; the crew didn’t survive. The preliminary cause of the crash is technical problems. There were 12 people on the airplane, none of them survived. The Armed Forces of Ukraine told 112.UA that three Ukrainians died in an air crash in Congo bud they did not reveal the details as the victims were not military.
