The deputy chairman of the UNA-UNSO (Ukrainian National Assembly – Ukrainian People's Self-Defence) Ukrainian nationalist organization, Igor Mazur was detained in Poland. The detention was conducted at the request of Russia. The former MP Igor Mosiychuk reported this on Facebook.

"They just confirmed to me that a participant in our national liberation war in the east, a well-known activist Igor Mazur was detained on the territory of Poland in Warsaw, at the request of the Russian Federation," Mosiychuk stated.

Polish border guards detained Mazur on the Polish side of the Dorohusk checkpoint.

“He is not allowed to see the Ukrainian consul and is not provided with a lawyer. On Monday, the issue of taking Igor into custody for extradition to Russia will be decided,” said Andriy Mamalyga on Facebook.

According to Olena Tereshchenko on Facebook, Mazur was detained at 8 o’clock in the morning today.

"Today, at eight in the morning, at the request of Russia through Interpol, the Polish border guards detained the hero of several wars, our friend Igor Mazur, who was supposed to attend an official event at the invitation of the Polish side," wrote Tereshchenko.
