Ukrainian serviceman Dmytro Velyky, released today from the militants' captivity, is wanted on suspicion of desertion. His data is posted in the search base on the Ministry of the Interior website.

So, it says that Dmytro Velyky disappeared on June 9, 2016, and is being searched for the respective crime. There is also a court order on permission for detention.

The Security Service confirmed this and has already informed the military prosecutor's office. This was reported by the press secretary Olena Hitlyanska during a meeting of released prisoners at the Kyiv International Airport, reports Hromadske.

“There is such a person who, on the basis of a court decision, was declared wanted. The military prosecutor’s office has a case. Of course, the investigators will take all the necessary measures, the military prosecutor’s office will decide on the preventive measure,” Gitlyanska declared.

In addition, she reported on activities to check the released Ukrainians for cooperation with the militants. She added that now there is an opportunity to declare the forcing to cooperate and there will be no criminal prosecutions against them.

She also added that the released hostages are always invited to undergo rehabilitation.

At the same time, Gitlyanska clarified that Velyky with three other liberated Ukrainians will now go to the clinic for examination. However, she noted that the Security Service of Ukraine does not investigate his case, and therefore has no reason to hand him suspicion.

Earlier four citizens of Ukraine released from captivity in the unrecognized republics of “LNR” and “DNR,” arrived in Kyiv. Their meeting at the airport Zhulyany was broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.

The agreement on the transfer of Ukrainians held in ORDLO was reached in Minsk during the negotiations of the Chairman of the Political Council of the Opposition Platform - For Life party Viktor Medvedchuk with the leaders of the so-called "LDNR" Denis Pushilin and Leonid Pasechnik.

Ukrainian serviceman Dmytro Velyky was taken prisoner on September 11, 2016. He was sentenced to 15 years of imprisonment, allegedly for terrorism. Yakiv Veremeychyk was captivated on May 25, 2018. Militants opened several criminal cases on him. The third serviceman is Maksym Goryainov, major of the 53rd Detached Mechanized Brigade. He was taken prisoner on May 25, 2019. Court session on his case was held, as a result he was sentenced to 15 years behind bars. Eduard Mikheyev was captured on October 16, 2017. He was convicted for alleged state treason and sentenced to 12 years of imprisonment.
