One of the leaders of Taliban radical movement was killed during a joint operation by Afghan police and security forces in Zabul province in eastern Afghanistan, reports  Khaama Press agency.

According to the report, during the operation at least nine militants were killed.

Earlier it was reported that one of the key leaders of the Taliban movement Kari Ali was killed at the border with Tajikistan district of Dashti Archi, Kunduz province in north-eastern Afghanistan, along with his subordinates.

Afghan authorities also said that members of Taliban militants group killed 12 members of the security forces, whom they captured in the eastern province of Ghazni.
