One of the developers of the Novichok combat poison, Vil Mirzayanov, has apologized to Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny, who has suffered from poisoning with this substance. The scientist-chemist said this on the air of the">TV channel Dozhd.
"I sincerely apologize to Navalny for being involved in this criminal business - the development of this substance, which he poisoned himself with," Mirzayanov, who has been living in the United States since 1995, said.
According to the developer, Navalny should bounce back. Mirzayanov explained that in 1993 he met with a survivor of the Novichok poisoning. He stated that the symptoms he described are similar to those mentioned by Navalny on Instagram on September 19.
"Similar symptoms. He overcame, he survived. Perhaps Navalny will have to be patient. But, ultimately, he must be healthy," said the scientist.
The chemical scientist believes that the restoration of a Russian politician could take up to a year.
As we reported before, Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny got out of bed and began to walk a little. He spoke about his health on his Facebook page, posting a photo from the German clinic Charite.
"Let me tell you how my recovery is going. This is already a clear road, albeit not a short one. All current problems like the fact that the phone in my hands is useless like a stone, and pouring myself some water turns into a whole attraction, are sheer nonsense... Now I'm a guy whose legs are shaking when he walks up the stairs, but he thinks: "Oh, this is the stairs! People climb along it. Perhaps we need to look for an elevator." But before, I would have just stood and watched," Navalny wrote.
