"Chinese doctor Li Wenliang, one of the eight whistleblowers who tried to warn other medics of the coronavirus outbreak but were reprimanded by local police, dies of coronavirus on Thursday in Wuhan", reads the tweet on the outlet's account.
According to CNN, the doctor warned his colleagues that seven patients were brought to the hospital; they all suffered the symptoms of coronavirus. Soon, the photo of his message spread all over the Web. The police summoned Li to the local police department where he was reprimanded for "spreading rumors on the Web" and "violation of public order"; he admitted guilt and returned to the hospital where the virus got to him.
