One dies, three injured in car accident in Ukraine's Kharkiv

A van drove into oncoming traffic and collided with a car, the 20-year-old driver of the car died

November 17, at about 8:45 p.m, a car accident occurred on a circular road of Kharkiv. The driver of the car died and three more people were hospitalized, the press office of the National Police in Kharkiv region reported.  

According to preliminary information of the law enforcement officers, the driver of the Volkswagen drove into the line of oncoming traffic, which resulted in the collision with the Chevrolet.

‘The 20-year-old driver of Chevrolet died at the scene from sustained injuries, the 35-year-old driver and the 33-year-old passenger of the Volkswagen, and the 33-year-old passenger of the Chevrolet were delivered to Kharkiv City Clinical Hospital with injuries of varying degrees of severity. Doctors assess their condition as satisfactory,’ reads the message.  

Currently, the driver of the Volkswagen is detained under the Art 208 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (violation of traffic safety).
