Thus, on December 30, the average air temperature in the Ukrainian capital made 5.3 degrees above zero by Celsius. That's 0.7 degrees higher than the record temperature observed on this day in 1913. The climatic norm has been exceeded by 7.3 degrees, which resembles the weather in late October.
The maximum temperature on December 30 in the afternoon made 7.5 degrees above zero. Thus, the previous record set in 1987 was beaten by 0.2 degrees.
Besides, the temperature observed in the small hours of December 31, 2020 did noit drop below 7.6 degrees above zero. The previous record temperature observed in 1980 (3.2 degrees above zero) was, thus, exceeded by 4.4 degrees.
