At least next three months will be complicated because of the ongoing outbreak of the Omicron strain. However, its end is in sight, says David Nabarro, the WHO special respresentative for combating Covid-19.
The Guardian cited the expert who did not reveal any specific timeline for the end of the spread of the disease and only noted that it is already in sight. At the same time, according to him, mankind still has a number of obstacles waiting on this path.
"People should just keep on working, so there's quite a difficult choice for politicians to make. Situation will remain tought for at least another three months", Nabarro said.
During the entire period of the pandemic, more than 307.9 million cases of coronavirus infection and more than 5.5 million deaths from the effects of the disease were detected worldwide.
