The test section of Hyperloop superfast vacuum train to be built yet in 2019, the release of the real operational section should take place in five years. Minister of Infrastructure Volodymyr Omelyan claimed this, Ekonomichna Pravda reports.
‘We believed that the test section would be ready much earlier the next year. It is our inner deadline. As to the real section, five years - enough time for the development of the corridor between Baltic and Black seas,’ the Minister said.
The cost of the one kilometer of the section will reach $11 million, hypothetical cost of the Kyiv – Odesa line will make $5.5 billion.
‘There are calculations made by our partner – Ukrainian Institute for the Future. Preliminary calculations showed the cost of the one kilometer and hypothetical cost of Kyiv – Odesa line. About $5.5 billion - the cost of the line, one kilometer to cost $11 million,’ the minister noted.
According to Omelyan, the scientific assessment of the project to be undertaken until the end of the week.
‘We are completing a scientific assessment. Planning to do it by the end of the year. Yet, we can cautiously say that the scientific assessment will be positive. We don’t know details yet but anticipate to know them. Based on the documentation we researched, can claim that the Hyperloop technology has a perspective, also for Ukraine,’ the Minister noted.
Moreover, the project launch time depends on the search for funding sources. Omelyan claimed that the project won't be financing by the Government.
The Minister planning that the project can be recouped in 12 years.
As it was reported earlier, Ukraine's ministry of infrastructure and Hyperloop Transportation Technologies signed the memorandum on cooperation.
