Police officers of the Kherson region detained the head of the regional territorial community while receiving a bribe. The police communications department of the Kherson region reports.

"The official received $ 2,000 from a local resident for providing a reference passport for the placement of a small architectural form in the district," - the statement said.

Criminal proceedings under Part 3 of Art. 368 "Acceptance of an offer, promise or receipt of undue benefit by an official" of the Criminal Code of Ukraine.

"For the deed, the official faces imprisonment for a term of five to ten years with deprivation of the right to occupy certain posts or engage in certain activities for a period of up to three years with confiscation of property," - the National Police summed up.
