The unknown culprits shot the window of Kyiv Regional Organization of the National Journalists Union of Ukraine as the website of the organization reported.
The incident took place on the night of February 1. The damaged window was found at the end of the working day and workers immediately appealed to the police.
“The police stated that it is no wonder: the office is located in the downtown of Kyiv, at Kreshchatyk Street and the shootings often take place here. The showdown with the use of the firearms take place very often in the city,” Alla Malienko, the spokeswoman of the organization said.
At the moment, the law enforcers establish the circumstances of the incident; they study the records from the CCTV cameras.
'So far, the sum of the damage is assessed at the rate of $547-730,' Malienko added.
The National Police reported that the investigative group documented the fact of the damaging of the external double glazing unit (the inner double glazing unit is not damaged). Nothing was confiscated from the site. The information that the damage was caused by the shooting from the firearm is not confirmed.
The information on the damage of the window was spotted in the journal of the unified consideration of the statements and reports of Shevchenkisky Department of the police. The qualification of the incident should be considered.
