In Bilyaivs'kyi district, Odesa region, rescuers warn people about the increase of the water level in the Dnister River. Due to this fact, the threat of the flooding of the Odesa-Reni highway occurs, as the State Emergency Service of Ukraine reported.
On July 2, the passage of the maximal level of the rainfall flood to Dnister River within 155-165 cm above the zero of the line is expected. In Yasky and Bilyaivka villages, rescuers warned the locals about the possible flooding of the gardens and agricultural land.
“Due to the rainfalls on July 2, on the rivers of the Prypyat basin, the increase of the levels of water is expected by 0.1-0.5 m above the levels observed at 08:00 a.m., June 29. The reaching of the flooding mark of the residential yards in particular riverine settlements at Prypyat River is expected in the Ratnovsky district and Vyzhivka city in the Starovyzhivskyi area in Volyn region,” the message said.
As we reported, the European Union activated the Civil Protection Mechanism to meet the needs of Ukraine in overcoming the effects of floods.
On June 23, the first consequences of the bad weather and heavy rains were reported in Ivano-Frankivsk region.
Later, Ukraine's State Emergency Service announced red alert in Ivano-Frankivsk and Chernivtsi regions.
The flood situation was complicated in Ivano-Frankivsk, Chernivtsi, Lviv, Zakarpattia and Ternopil regions. Three people died.
