A nighttime incident occurred in Illinka, Odesa region, where the man desecrated the Ukrainian flag. The head of the rural council told that to the local police branch.

The law enforcers reached the site and found out that the 23-year-old man took the banner from the post next to a community center and wiped his feet over it. The culprit tried to justify his deed by saying he and his companions had some vodka.

The man now faces either a fine or detention, depending on the court's decision. He could either pay a fine of USD 34 or go to jail for up to six months.
