The first pilot batch of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine is expected to arrive in the self-proclaimed Luhansk People’s Republic (LPR) this weekend, as LPR Representative on Donbas talks Rodion Miroshnyk reported on Telegram.
“As I said before, during the next 24 hours, LPR will get the first pilot batch of the Russian vaccine against coronavirus Sputnik V,” he wrote.
Miroshnyk added that from the next week, the medical facilities of the so-called republic plan to star the vaccination process of particular categories of the population. As the new batches of the vaccine arrive, the number of categories of people, who are going to be vaccinated will increase.
“As the medics assured, all circumstances for provision of the process vaccination are created in the ‘republic’,” he added.
As we reported, one of the leading Brazilian pharmaceutical companies, Uniao Quimica has started the production of the Russian Sputnik V vaccine against coronavirus.
Currently, Sputnik V is registered in Argentina, Bolivia, Serbia, Algeria, Palestine, Venezuela, Hungary and the UAE.
Besides, the immunological efficiency of EpiVacCorona, the second registered Russian vaccine against coronavirus makes 100 percent. That's the evaluation of Rospotrebnadzor, Russia's Federal Agency for Health and Consumer Rights.
