The number of victims after the crush and panic among those watched Champions League football match at San Carlo Square exceeded 1.5 thousand, Interfax Ukraine reports.
"The number of victims as a result of the crush in the central square of the city of Turin in Italy exceeded 1.5 thousand," the report said.
According to recent reports, the health condition of three victims is assessed as critical.
The Prosecutor's Office of Turin began an investigation into the circumstances of the incident.
As we reported, after the end of the match, one of the football fans exploded a firecracker and shouted that it was a bomb. People got scared by the noise. Crowds of hundreds of people started to run in panic. Many of them fell. Seven-year-old boy is in critical condition, child received head and thorax injuries.
