The number of deceased people as a result of the explosions in Sri Lanka increased up to 290 people, as Reuters reported.
The agency stated that about 500 people sustained injuries due to the incident. It is known that any organization took responsibility for the terrorist actions.
The citizens of the U.S., the U.K., Turkey, China, Denmark, the Netherlands, and Portugal suffered as a result of the explosions.
Explosions took place in Shri Lanka. The blasts at three churches and hotels were carried out by suicide bombers on Easter Day.
According to the witnesses, the buildings in the surrounding area shook with the blast at St Anthony’s Shrine. The explosions occurred during the mass while people were celebrating Easter.
As we reported, seven suspects were detained and police also stated that people involved in the terrorist actions were identified and arrested.
All schools will be closed until Tuesday. The local authorities imposed the curfew and temporary ban for use of social networks to prevent the spread of the fake news.
