The number of Polish troops on the border with Belarus has been increased to 15,000. Polish defense minister Mariusz Blaszczak said so as quoted by Polskie Radio.

"Of course, this amount can be increased further if needed", Blaszczak said.

According to him, the situation on the border was not quite calm: the migrants tried to break through the border line.

"If two days ago, we had one big group of people who were located near Kuźnica and attempted to break through the border, today we have to do with smaller, albeit still large groups that attack Polish border in several locations at a time", the Minister said.

Blaszczak added that all attempts to break through the border failed, and the people who broke through the border were detained.
