The total level of the poorness decreased in Ukraine by 15.1% during 2017 and the number of poor Ukrainians that work decreased by 18.5%. Oleksandr Reva, the Minister of Social Policy of Ukraine claimed this at the briefing broadcasted by 112 Ukraine.
'The level of the poorness decreased from 54.5% to 39.4%, including the people that work from 45.4% to 26.9%. The reason is the increase in the social standards and the increase of the average wage by 37% in 2017', he said.
The minister also added that the number of the employed increased by 6% in 2017. At the same time, the number of the employers that cooperated with the employment center increased by 11%.
The number of the employers is 177 00 and the number of the open vacancies is 968 000 as for this moment.
Earlier UN spotted that 60% of the Ukrainians are on the breadline. Particularly, the issue was about 1.7 millions of the internally displaced persons and 2.8 millions of the disabled people.
