Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry claims that the number of citizens with Covid-19 who developed pneumonia decreases. Maksym Stepanov, the Healthcare Minister said so during the staff meeting led by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

"Stepanov claimed that the number of patients who had pneumonia is dropping, and added that everyone who deceased over that day from Covid-19 were merely 21 people; they had serious coexisting illnesses and were in the risk zone," says the message on the website of the Presidential Office.

At the same time, Prime Minister Denys Shmygal admitted that currently, the level of Covid-19 morbidity in Ukraine makes 62.4 people per 100,000 of the population. Such figures are registered due to outbreaks in certain regions, such as the Vinnytsia region, Zakarpattya region, and Kyiv.

As of early July 7, the number of citizens infected with Covid-19 in Ukraine made 49,607. 564 new cases were confirmed over 24 hours. 1,283 people deceased due to the complications caused by the disease. 22,193 people managed to recover.
