The number of Covid-19 deaths continues to rise in Europe, the press center of the World Health Organization reports.

"The European Region reported a 5% increase in new deaths, while the other regions reported stable or declining trends," the statement reads.

About 50,000 deaths from Covid-19 have been reported worldwide, which is no different from the previous week.

It is noted that the number of new cases of Covid-19 infection in the world also increased by 6% last week. Thus, over 3.3 million new cases were registered, which is a higher figure than in the previous week.

An increase in the number of patients is observed in America, Europe and the Western Pacific region.

As of November 17, there are 522,000 cases of Covid-19 infection and about 8,000 deaths worldwide.

In Europe, 138,000 cases of Covid-19 and 2.5 thousand deaths were registered on November 16.

In Ukraine, 18,668 cases of Covid-19 infection and 769 deaths were recorded on November 16.

As it was reported, in Ukraine, 838 people died on November 15 due to complications caused by the coronavirus - the third highest index in the world rankings. Only in the United States (1.282) and Russia (1.240) more deaths from coronavirus were found.
