Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmygal stated that the number of Covid-19 active patients in the country tended to decrease last week. The Prime Minister said this during a conference call chaired by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, as the press service of the head of state reports.
According to Shmygal, today there are 129,000 of Covid-19 active patients in Ukraine. Also, according to the head of government, last week the number of deaths, occupied beds and hospitalizations decreased.
The President also asked Minister of Health Maksym Stepanov when Ukraine will receive the first vaccines and when the vaccination will begin.
The Minister of Health said that his office is actively negotiating with various countries and suppliers and predicts that the delivery of the vaccine will take place in the near future.
As we reported earlier, the Cabinet of Ministers has extended the quarantine and emergency situation in Ukraine until the end of April as MP Oleksiy Honcharenko reported on Facebook.
“The Cabinet of Ministers has extended the action of quarantine and emergency situation due to the coronavirus until April 30, 2021, and it returns adaptive quarantine…The decision will come into force in a week, from February 24,” Honcharenko wrote.
