Over the past week, 10,374 patients with influenza and ARVI have been registered in the capital. First deputy head of the Kyiv City Administration Mykola Povoroznik stated this, the press service of the City Council reports.
He noted that in general, the intensity of the epidemic process is low and below the baseline by 54.2%. Now the incidence rate is 351.6.
In total, there is a decrease in the incidence of influenza and ARVI by 30.3% compared to the previous week, which occurred at the expense of the adult and children's population.
"In the structure of the incidence rate, children make up 41.5%, and the previous week - 51%. Among schoolchildren, the incidence rate decreased by 46.3% - 1906 cases were registered," Povoroznik said.
He also said that 96 people were hospitalized in medical institutions last week, of which 61 were children.
“Since the beginning of the epidemic season, 51,580 people have been vaccinated against flu in the vaccination rooms of private clinics and municipal healthcare institutions,” the deputy head of the Kyiv City State Administration added.
