Now it’s too early to talk about a return to total hard quarantine throughout Ukraine. Chief Sanitary Doctor of Ukraine Viktor Lyashko stated this on Friday night on the Inter TV channel, according to Interfax news agency.
“It’s premature to talk about strict quarantine on the territory of the country now; all the recommendations of the Ministry of Health must be implemented,” Lyashko said.
He noted that since June 22, the government has prescribed the steps for entering more stringent quarantine. However, toughening of quarantine may have a local, regional character.
This is possible if a trend is tracked for four consecutive days by four indicators.
Then, the regional commission may introduce restrictive anti-epidemic measures - both in the territory of a particular settlement, and in relation to specific areas of activity.
As we reported before, head of the World Health Organization (WHO), Tedros Ghebreyesus noted the onset of a new dangerous phase of the coronavirus pandemic in the world. He stated this on June 19 at a media briefing on the problems of COVID-19.
