Notre-Dame’s art works to be preserved in Louvre

The firefighters continue to be on duty near the Notre-Dame de Paris; however, the fire is distinguished as 112 Ukraine reported.

Earlier the burning took place in a few rooms inside the cathedral.

According to the recent data, two third of the roof and the spire are destroyed; however, the works of art and Christian relics were rescued. BFMTV reported that they were sent to the Mayor’s Office of Paris. It is planned to pass them to Louvre Museum for preservation until the end of the restoration of the cathedral.

Totally, 500 members of the personnel were involved in the fire-fighting.

Paris Police Prefecture holds the investigation; however, the main inquiry line is the accident.

As it was reported earlier, the spire and the roof of the Notre Dame cathedral fell due to fire in Paris. 

The press service of the President of France reported that Macron canceled the planned speech in the Elysee Palace in order to come to the cathedral.

The law enforcers order all the people to leave the streets near the cathedral and to go to safe places. The firefighters are trying to extinguish the fire. The medical workers arrived at the spot as well. It is still unknown, whether there are victims.
