The town of Morshyn (Ivano-Frankivsk region, western Ukraine) has 74 percent of its adult population vaccinated; there are no hospitalized people with the diagnosis of Covid-19 there. Ruslan Ilnytsky, the mayor reported that as cited by Ukrinform.
"As of today, only 22 people suffer from Covid-19 (these are not the new cases detected over 24 hours, but the summary number as of October 26, - 112 International), eight of them are vaccinated; but none of them are at a hospital", Ilnytsky said.
He added not a single case was observed in the western Ukrainian town this summer. However, the situation changed when the Delta strain appeared. "But not a single patient was taken to the hospital during this period. They get mild or moderate symptoms so they get treated at home, on self-isolation", the mayor concluded.
The official added that almost all workers of local sanatoriums are vaccinated, so the experiment with total vaccination helped the town to abandon the economic crisis caused by the pandemic.
