The spread rate of coronavirus infection in Ukraine gets worse, and the number of infected people increases. Currently, this number is the same as in November, when doctors observed the largest increase in the incidence rate. Serhiy Ryzhenko, the Chief Medical Officer of Mechnykov hospital in Dnipro said so as quoted by Gordon news website.

According to the official, this particular hospital already has no available beds for the newly infected people.

"We are full again. Every day, we accept a dozen of seriously ill patients who reach the reception and get right into the resuscitation unit. Covid-19 attacks again. I'm not sure if it's the third wave or the renewal of the second one... But it's too much Covid-19 now, and people need help. Today, all of our Covid-related departments began to work overtime again. Seeing dozens of people who can't live without oxygen is too difficult", Ryzhenko said.

He added that many patients resort to self-therapy, and they turn to doctors too late.

"Some people believe they are strong and they stay at home. They drink herbal teas and various stuff that their neighbors tell them about. And then, they faint and get transported to the hospital, directly to the resuscitation unit. Many of those who reached the hospital in grave conditions believed that coronavirus can be treated at home. It's a huge error, one has to persuade people to remove it. Any sort of a symptom, especially high body temperature and shortness of breath can lead to severe consequences. One should see a doctor", Ryzhenko said.
