On January 19-21, Ukraine will send the samples of the suspected British coronavirus strain to the laboratory of the World Health Organization (WHO) at the Charité Clinic in Berlin. It was announced by Chief Sanitary Doctor Viktor Lyashko, Interfax-Ukraine reports.
"We will take all the samples from patients with suspected coronavirus that were registered in areas of its high prevalence, from patients with severe cases, and/or from patients with experience in traveling to the UK," he said.
As we reported earlier, Head of the WHO Office in Ukraine Jarno Habicht believes that the protocols of Covid-19 treatment should also provide the psychological support of patients.
“The support of the mental health should be integrated into the national protocols of response to Covid-19,” he said.
It was also reported that the WHO and the country's National Center of Public Health had developed the training package for medical employees on mental health during the coronavirus pandemic.
Nevertheless, there is still a need to create available and inclusive services of mental health.
