A new strain of coronavirus, which was first recorded in the UK, has already been found in 33 countries. This strain is considered to be more contagious and is associated with a sharp increase in the number of infections in Britain. This was reported by Radio Liberty.

The health service is already preparing for an increase in the number of coronavirus infected in many other countries after the New Year and Christmas holidays.

Scientists are convinced that, despite the great infectivity, the new strain of coronavirus does not lead to more deaths.

The spread of this strain in many countries has caused concern as it may become dominant in many regions over the coming months.

As we reported earlier, a new strain of coronavirus was discovered in Britain. Despite the ban on air travel between countries with the UK, cases of infection were found in the USA, India, Switzerland, Portugal, Canada, France, Japan, Pakistan.

Also, several countries have announced the mutation of Covid-19, in particular Denmark, Brazil, Malaysia and some other countries. It is assumed that it may be 70% more infectious than the already familiar "version" of the coronavirus. Whether it is more deadly is still unknown.
