A new oxygen supply station has been opened in Mariupol, Donetsk region. It is supposed to provide effective treatment for Covid-19 patients. The new facility was opened thanks to Metinvest company that funded the installation, Channel 24 reports.
Previously, the oxygen cylinders were delivered on a daily basis. However, now this process will be automatic now, since there is no need to bring new canisters ever day. And the patients will be having no problems with oxygen supplies.
"Five cubic-meter barrels will be filled with liquid oxygen, and it will be automatically directeded to all oxygen supply points. We have more than 300 points per 276 beds. One can only dream of anything like this', said Oleksandr Zheleznyak, the acting director of city hospital No.9.
Most of the patients (statistically, more than 90 percent) recover thanks to the oxygen therapy.
City mayor Vadym Boichenko claimed that Metinvest company's support let the city improve the situation with treatment of coronavirus across the city. The current number of recovering patients and those who already got over the illness is high.
Yuriy Ryzhenkov, the Director General of Metinvest claims that the oxygen supply mechanism in Mariupoil hospitals has been brought to entirely new evolution level.
