Another new holiday, the Day of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection will appear in Ukraine. It will be celebrated annually on May 25. The relevant decision was made during a government session.
"I decide to establish a professional holiday in the country given the importance of units of the State Service for Special Communications and Information Protection to ensure national security and protect the state sovereignty of Ukraine and its information space," the presidential decree reads.
The government approved the relevant presidential decree. The holiday will be founded after its publication and will be celebrated annually on May 25.
The State Service for Special Communications was established in 2006, based on the dissolved Department of Special Telecommunication Systems and Information Protection (DSTSZI) of the Security Service of Ukraine.
As it was reported earlier, in September, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on establishing professional holiday in Ukraine - the Day of the winegrower and winemaker.
