Today, on July 24, the State Emergency Service of Ukraine received information that a grass flooring caught fire near the village of Tryokhizbenka in the Novoaydarovsky district of the Luhansk region. The press service of the State Emergencies Ministry reports.

16 people and six pieces of equipment were involved in extinguishing. Of these, from the State Emergencies Ministry, eight personnel and two pieces of equipment. In addition to the fire site, nine pieces of equipment follow from the State Emergency Situations Committee.

At 15:57 the fire was localized.

As we reported before, the forest caught fire in Luhansk region due to the attack of the militants.

"On July 22, the State Emergency Service received information that fire of dry grass and young forest broke out in the territory of the Trokhizbenske forestry due to the shelling that was carried out near the village of Lopaskine in the Novoaidar district," the press center said.

The last large-scale forest fire occurred in Luhansk region on July 7.

The death of five people was confirmed; 34 people, including 15 children were hospitalized. 71 people appealed for medical aid to the hospital.

As a result, 10% of the total area of the forestland (5,000 hectares) were destroyed, the approximate amount of losses made over 450 million hryvnias (16.6 million dollars).
