In Ukraine, only one case of coronavirus has been confirmed via lab tests. The remaining 20 suspicions were not confirmed. The press service of the Ministry of Health reported this information.

“As of the morning of March 8, 2020, 106,161 cases of Covid-19 were registered, of which 3,594 died, while 59,942 (56.4%) people recovered. Outside of China, 25,302 cases were recorded in 92 countries /territories/regions. One laboratory-confirmed case of Covid-19 was registered in Ukraine," the report said.

It is noted that "as of the morning of March 8, 20 delivered samples of materials were examined in the DSP virological reference laboratory, including 6 samples taken from people suspected of having Covid-19 and 14 from contact positives on Covid-19".

It is noted that during the day on March 7, the Center received one message about suspicion of Covid-19 in the Chernivtsi region.

"Since the beginning of 2020, the Center has received 38 reports of suspicion of Covid-19; one positive result has been received," the report says.

As we reported before, because of the coronavirus epidemic, the Italian government decided to quarantine and block entry and exit to Lombardy in the north, as well as another 11 provinces in other regions. The corresponding decree was adopted on Saturday, March 7.
