The Head of Belarus’ State the Department of Citizenship and Migration of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Alexei Begun told that about 3,000 Belarusians had left the country for Ukraine since the beginning of September, BelTA reports.

At the same time, about 10,000 Belarusian citizens decided to go to Poland.

"We have broken down all categories of citizens, taking into account the number of minors, pensioners, unemployed. Poland had the largest entry - about 10 thousand people. Latvia and Lithuania - much less. Figuratively speaking, no more than 500 people left for these two countries," the statement said.

According to the official, some of the citizens have left the country due to work and cannot return because of the quarantine measures.

As we reported earlier, Belarusian opposition leader Sviatlana Tsikhanouskaya urged law enforcement officers, involved in dispersing the protesters, to side with the demonstrators by October 25.
