At this point, almost 180 Ukrainian tourists cannot leave Zanzibar due to a plane malfunction. This was announced by Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleh Nikolenko on Twitter.
"About 180 Ukrainian tourists are stuck in Zanzibar. The plane broke down. The Foreign Ministry and the embassy in Kenya are working with the tour operator to provide citizens with proper living conditions during the delay and resolve the issue of their return as soon as possible," Nikolenko noted.
One of the tour operators, who sent Ukrainians on vacation, said that all tourists would be provided with hotel accommodation.
"We managed to find rooms for comfortable accommodation of all tourists - now the process is underway. As for the flight - the airline is working on obtaining all necessary permits to conduct it," the statement said.
As we reported earlier, according to the First lady of Ukraine Olena Zelenska, the Ukrainian-language audio-guides will appear in the UAE in the foreseeable future.
“This year, we plan to extend the geography of Ukrainian-language audio-guides to the UAE. That is why I would really like to see the Louvre of Abu Dhabi and of the largest mosques of the world – the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque,” she wrote.
