The National Police and the media community in Ukraine signed a memorandum on the fight against piracy. It is reported by the press service of National police.

As stated by the head of National police Khatia Dekanoidze, the aim of cooperation will be the exchange of information, technical assistance of police, training for policemen and improvements of the existing legislative framework.

"We need to find a legislative "sweet spot" when the police will not infringe the interests of  business, and at the same time will ensure the rule of law in compliance with copyright.  The signing of memorandum will lead the work with our partners to a higher level ", - said Khatia Dekanoidze.

She added that in the fight against piracy is engaged the Department of cyberpolice, which has already received a lot of complaints about copyright infringement. In turn, the task of representatives of the media space is to help National Police to understand what is happening in this market, which are the violations and how they can be detected.
