The jury of Ukraine's national selection for Eurovision 2021 already chose the song by Go_A band, which will represent the country at this year's contest. Which one it will be, actually, remains a mystery; the name of the song will be made public in March, reads the post by suspilne.eurovision in Instagram.
The jury members chose one of the three songs performed by Go_A, the band that won last year's selection and will participate in this year's edition.
The band presented three songs, but we won't hear the selection winner until March. We wonder if it resembles Solovey (last year's selection winner)," reads the message.
At the same time, the audience is confused and disappointed that the selection went so non-transparent. Social network users claim not only they had no chance to choose their favorite song, they didn't even have a chance to hear any released pieces of singles.
User bobarcode_III wrote: "Hmph... Where's the open selection among the several presented songs and bla-bla-bla?"
The other user, i_am_terra feels disappointed, too: "That's odd... They could've at least published some excerpts and see the public reaction and give at least some credence to it. That's really strange... Well, they didn't let us vote, but they could've at least let us listen".
Eurovision 2021 will take place at Ahoy Arena in Amsterdam, with semifinals on May 18 and May 20; the final is to be conducted on May 22. The results of sorting ceremony from the semifinals will be eligible. Go_A is allowed to partricipate as the winners of the previous year's selection.
