Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council (NSDC) of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov asked Prime Minister Denys Shmygal to analyze and direct the structure of owners of all energy and gas companies in Ukraine to the National Security and Defense Council, LIGA.net reports.
The NSDC intends to consider an “economic downturn due to rising utility tariffs”.
On this basis, Danilov asked Shmygal to send information and analytical material on the structure of owners of all energy companies in Ukraine, power distribution companies and operators of electricity distribution systems, gas supply and gas distribution companies to the NSDC.
Danilov also asked Shmygal to prepare materials for the National Security and Defense Council on increasing the cost of utilities in Ukraine and improving state regulation in the gas, electricity and heat markets.
Earlier, the companies set their fixed annual gas prices, which will be valid until April 30, 2022, and it already exceeds previous proposals.
