Over the past few days, the National Police has recorded triple number of administrative protocols for violating the quarantine. President Volodymyr Zelensky stated this at a traditional conference call to prevent the spread of coronavirus, which took place under his chairmanship, the President’s Office website says.
Zelensky says that with the new anti-record incidence rates for Covid-19, there is a need for clear, coordinated communication with people regarding quarantine rules.
“We need to explain more clearly what adaptive quarantine is and how it affects the work of public institutions, transport. In order to have a clear and detailed plan for how restaurants, beaches, nightclubs should work. When people understand this, they will adhere to adaptive quarantine more," Zelensky said.
Officials emphasized that a return to tougher quarantine would be a major blow to the economy, and agreed that closer coordination was needed in communications regarding quarantine measures with local authorities and the public.
Prime Minister Denys Shmygal recalled that over the past day, Ukrainian doctors confirmed a record rate of coronavirus infection - 921 people, 19 of these people died.
