Deputy Head of the National Police Vyacheslav Abroskin told about the levels of murders in Ukraine over the past 20 years, according to his Facebook.
The statistics say that from 1997 to 2002 the number of murders went from 4529 to 4296. In 2014 – 4389; 2015 – 3004; 2016 – 1726; 2017 – 1551. In 2016, 83% of the murders were solved, while in 2017 – 89% (1387 out of 1551). Moreover, he noted that in 2017, 466 murders of previous years were solved too.
Abroskin emphasized the numbers to fight disinformation as to the criminality level in Ukraine, which Russian propaganda is trying to blow out of proportion to discredit the country.
