National Police of Ukraine is investigating 120 human trafficking cases. This was stated by the head of Counter-Trafficking Department Artem Kryshchenko during the round table on Monday, June 19, reports RBC-Ukraine.
“As of today, National Police has 120 criminal cases against people involved in human trafficking,” Kryshchenko said.
In most cases victims were exposed to sexual abuse, according to him. At the same time, he noted that victims often turn to police in such cases.
“In about 75% (criminal cases, - ed.) there are suspects,” Kryshchenko said.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine and Thailand agreed to cooperate in criminal cases investigation. Also, the countries have signed a trade agreement.
