The military noted that the U.S. weapon has advantages over the RPG-7 hand grenade launcher. PSRL-1 strikes armored vehicles, fortifications and manpower of the enemy with a single shot of a grenade of 40 mm caliber.
The National Guard is currently armed with a batch of RSRL-1 40 mm anti-tank grenade launchers, manufactured by the United States. Besides a personnel training program and methods for operating the PSRL-1 manual grenade launcher have already been developed.
Earlier it was reported that Ukraine successfully conducted state tests of the counter-battery radar 1L220UK and "NPK Iskra" is ready for serial production of the complex for the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Ukraine's defense industry companies have successfully developed the production of electromagnetic weaponry. The cutting-edge kind of weapon is supposed to damage various kinds of enemy communication devices, power supply systems, and data exchange systems. Spetstekhnoexport enterprise, which is a part of Ukroboronprom state-run defense concern, posted this on Thursday.
'The Ukrainian scientists and developers received proper funding, which let them produce new knowledge and implement in the new products. Thanks to this project, Ukraine joined the closed club of the countries that are working on highly effective electromagnetic weaponry,' said Vladyslav Belbas, the CEO of Spetstekhnoexport company.
The new weapon creates a powerful electromagnetic ray, which impedes or incapacitates the enemy radio-electronic devices set on the enemy armament, vehicles and infrastructure objects. Such weapons are considered non-lethal for people and, thus, falls under the respective category of non-lethal defensive weaponry.
