According to the report, the electronic payment system will work 2 hours longer on December 27 and 28.
On December 29, 2019, until 1:00 PM, only payments between banking institutions subordinate to one legal entity, as well as payments directed to the NBU and the State Treasury Service will be made through the electronic payment system.
The National Bank and the bodies of the State Treasury Service will be able to make payments to all participants of the electronic payment system. Banking day in the electronic payment system will end at 3:00 PM.
On January 2, 2020, banks will operate without customers and provide a range of activities related to the start of the new reporting year. Interbank transfers of funds through the electronic payment system on this day will not be carried out. The day of operation of the electronic payment system is postponed from Monday January 6, 2020 to Saturday January 11, 2020.
On January 3, 8, 2020, the electronic payment system and the banking system will operate as usual. The official hryvnia rate to foreign currencies and bank metals will be valid from December 28, 2019 to January 7, 2020 inclusive, calculated by the National Bank of Ukraine on December 27, 2019.
Also, the NBU noted that banks have the right to ensure the smooth operation of ATMs, backing them with cash of various denominations to serve customers on holidays.
As we reported earlier, council of National Bank of Ukraine (NBU) declared NBU's exchange rate policy in 2019 ineffective and noted that it did not meet the challenges of Ukraine's current development.
