National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine detains seven customs officers

Detectives of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) detained 10 persons on suspicion of committing crimes related to violation of customs legislation. It was reported by the press service on Facebook.

"Pre-trial actions of detainees, including seven customs officers, are qualified under Part 2 of Article 364, Part 3 of Article 212, Part 1 of Article 255 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The issue of notification on suspicion is solved. Detectives and prosecutors carry out other investigative actions related to the establishment of circumstances of commission of crime," the message says.

It is worth noting that Bureau opened a criminal investigation on the state treason and espionage that could be possibly committed by Vasyl Hrytsak, the former chairman of the State Security Service of Ukraine (SBU).

As we reported earlier, National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) had put ex-owner of VAB Bank PJSC Oleh Bakhmatyuk on the wanted list. His records were entered in the database of wanted persons, who are hiding from the authorities, on the website of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA).

The site reports that the article of the charge - Art. 91 Part 5, Article 210 Part 3.
