The National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine has published a report regarding the development of the Covid-19 coronavirus epidemic in Ukraine from 11 to 18 September. The study was carried out by a working group on mathematical modeling of the problems associated with the coronavirus epidemic, the press service of the National Academy of Sciences reports.
"In accordance with the scenarios considered, the regions with the highest expected number of infected are Ivano-Frankivsk, Lviv, Odesa, Ternopil, Kharkiv, Khmelnytsky, Chernivtsi regions and Kyiv city," the message says.
In addition, it is noted that if we add the simulation results for all regions, then the increase in new patients with Covid-19 in Ukraine will average 3,014 cases (in the range of 2395-3670). The average mortality rate is 50 cases (45-55).
"The reproductive number is 1.11 (average over the last week, has a neutral trend)", the NAS add.
As we reported before, during the past 24 hours, 2,462 new cases of coronavirus infection were observed in Ukraine.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 156,797 Covid-19 cases were observed; 3,211 patients died (+33 people in 24 hours); 64,543 people recovered (+650).
