Nariman Aliev's drama Homeward included in Golden Globe Award's longlist

Golden Globe Award's Longlist has been published. The list of Best Foreign Language Films, which includes 93 films from 65 countries, contains Nariman Aliev's drama "Homeward" - earlier the film was also included in the longlist of the Academy Award.

“Homeward” became the only Ukrainian candidate in the longlist of the Golden Glove Award.

The film directed by Crimean Tatar director Nariman Aliev, reveals a story about Mustafa, the Crimean Tatar whose sons came to Kyiv after Crimea's annexation by Russia in 2014. When the older son dies, the father comes to Kyiv to get his younger brother back home and bury the dead son according to Muslim tradition.

As we reported earlier, "Homeward", the winner of the National Film Critics' Award “Kinokolo”, also won two awards at the VII International Bosphorus Film Festival in Istanbul. This was reported on the official Facebook page of the movie.

"Friends, we have good news! "Homeward" is recognized as the Best International Feature Film of the 7th International Bosphorus Film Festival! And the award for Best Actor was given to Akhtem Seitablayev," the statement reads.

The awards ceremony took place in Istanbul. Nariman Aliev received the award from the chairman of the international jury, the Philippine director and the owner of the Palme d'Or, Cannes Briante Mendoza.
